M&S ‘flattering’ maxi dress ‘hides bloated tummies’ and is great for summer weddings

Marks & Spencer’s £39.50 Pure Cotton Printed Bardot Midaxi Beach Dress comes in three lengths; short, regular or long, and there’s a huge range of sizes available from a UK six to 24.

In the description, M&S says: “Bring a touch of drama to your warm weather wardrobe with this pure cotton beach dress.” The stunning midaxi-length dress is designed in a regular fit, featuring a flattering bardot neckline and long cuffed balloon sleeves for that dramatic look. 

It’s available in five different prints, but we’re loving the green mix option for summer. As well as being a great dress for throwing on over your bikini at the beach, we think it could work just as well for a summer wedding, dressed up with your favourite pair of heels or wedges, and trendy raffia bag.

Plenty of shoppers have left five-star reviews too, praising the dress for its ‘flattering fit’ and ‘lightweight breathable material’ that keeps you cool in the heat.  

One delighted customer said: “Absolutely love everything about this dress, the material, fit and colour,black and brown, felt a million dollars when I tried it on!”

A second added: “What a gorgeous dress! It says it’s a beach dress but I bought it for a boat party in the summer. Despite receiving plenty of glowing reviews, it seems not everyone was impressed with the dress, with one customer calling it ‘badly made’ due to it sitting in the wrong place when on. Another customer who gave it five stars gave some ‘minor feedback’ and said: “Love this dress, you can dress it up or down. Good length. The only minor feedback would be that the sleeve elastic is very tight.”
