The budget supermarket chain has issued an urgent recall for one of its haggis items just ahead of Burns Night.
Aldi customers may have purchased the affected product in preparation for the Scottish event on Thursday, January 25.
But some batches of Aldi’s Specially Selected Haggis En Croutes (400g) could be unsafe to eat.
A statement on The Food Standards Scotland website recently warned customers that the supermarket’s haggis dish had an incorrect use-by-date.
As a result, the haggis has also been removed from stores so is now not available to buy.

Despite the best before date stating that the product is consumable until February 2024, this should be a month earlier.
The Haggis En Croutes have been packaged with a use-by date of February 23, 2024 instead of January 23, 2024.
Consuming the product past the correct use by date could cause illness.
As a precautionary measure, shoppers have been urged not to consume the product for health reasons.
Instead, the item can be returned to the store where it was purchased to receive a full refund, with or without a receipt.
Aldi said in its product recall: “We apologise that this product did not meet our normal high standards and thank you for your co-operation.”
