The month of May is brimming with bank holidays, prompting early payments for those whose usual receipt dates fall on these days. Consequently, if you’re slated to receive your benefits on the 25th or 26th, prepare for an early deposit this Friday, reports Birmingham Live.
The Government’s official stance is clear: “Benefits are usually paid straight into your bank, building society or credit union account. If your payment date is on a weekend or a bank holiday you’ll usually be paid on the working day before.”
