Taylor Swift fans were delighted last year when it was announced she will be bringing the Eras Tour to the UK for the first time.
The excitement quickly dissipated for some fans, however, as the tickets swiftly sold out, leaving thousands of fans disappointed and heartbroken.
While this could have been the beginning of a Cruel Summer, clever Swifties have found a way around this dilemma: Resale websites.
Ticket resale websites such as viagogo, Vivid Seats and more, allow fans to buy up entry to events that have previously sold out, by purchasing tickets from other fans who can no longer attend.
While this has been a boon for fans who missed out during the first release of Taylor Swift tickets, they will not last forever.
Sites such as viagogo and Vivid Seats allow fans to buy resale tickets from other fans. However, it is important to note that many event promoters say tickets should not be resold after initial purchase and will not be valid for admittance to gigs.
Fans attending live events with tickets acquired through resale websites are advised to double-check the ticket terms and conditions at the point of sale – such as Ticketmaster or Live Nation – to ensure a smooth live event experience. Tickets could be voided if they were found to be bought second-hand. As a result, fans are buying at their own risk.
With that said, viagogo also commented: “viagogo is a regulated marketplace where fans have the freedom to buy and sell tickets to their favourite live events, safely and securely, backed by a guarantee.”
viagogo currently has hundreds of tickets available for many of the UK Taylor Swift shows that are coming up.
Some of these shows have an abundance of tickets, such as the August 18 show at London’s Wembley Stadium, which at the time of writing has over 880 tickets available right now.
In fact, Taylor’s London shows across August have the most tickets available on viagogo right now.
Here’s a breakdown of the dates with the most tickets available right now:
- Friday, 21 June 2024 – London, Wembley Stadium – 757 tickets.
- Saturday, 22 June 2024 – London, Wembley Stadium – 718 tickets.
- Sunday, 23 June 2024 – London, Wembley Stadium – 779 tickets.
- Thursday, 15 August 2024 – London, Wembley Stadium – 759 tickets.
- Friday, 16 August 2024 – London, Wembley Stadium – 839 tickets.
- Monday, 19 August 2024 – London, Wembley Stadium – 778 tickets.
- Tuesday, 20 August 2024 – London, Wembley Stadium – 777 tickets.
Meanwhile, there are some dates which have precious few tickets left.
Taylor Swift’s Liverpool dates at Anfield Stadium throughout June seem to be running thin the most.
There are two dates at the 60,000 person venue this summer, where the Anti-Hero star will be supported by Paramore.
But, on viagogo, one of the dates – Friday, June 14, 2024 – only has 445 tickets left for the event.
Considering these tickets are all in such high demand, and the show is just two weeks away, this may be Scouse fans’ final chance to get involved.
Luckily, there are plenty of UK dates across the next few months for fans to buy tickets from.
