Ozzy Osbourne ‘began tradition of shaving eyebrows’ says pal | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

Chuckling, the songwriter added that when the dishevelled people woke up in the morning they couldn’t quite pinpoint what was wrong when they looked in the mirror.

Another common prank the 75-year-old would play on his passed-out counterparts, although Noddy admitted he hadn’t quite invented this one, would be using indelible ink to draw moustaches on their faces.

During a 1986 interview, Ozzy admitted that while his moustache pranks were almost exclusively a party trick, he would casually take eyebrows whenever he could.

Speaking to The Tube host Jools Holland, the Hollywood star shared: “When people are asleep I lurk into their room and zip their eyebrows.

“They look the next day completely different. Their whole life changes, you know.”

Arguably some of the most famous of Ozzy’s victims were the members of Mötley Crüe who toured with the Prince of Darkness in 1984.

Speaking in 2014, guitarist Mick Mars admitted that tour was the “height of alcoholism” for both his band and the Black Sabbath star.

He told Metal Hammer: “Ozzy had this thing where he used to bite people; he was always playing pranks, shaving off someone’s eyebrows, you know.

“We were crazy b*****ds.”

This was the same tour when one of Ozzy’s most notorious tales took place as the singer reportedly snorted a line of ants off of the pavement.

In a recent episode of The Osbourne podcast, Ozzy admitted he doesn’t remember the incident but seems to believe it was true while his wife Sharon revealed she purposely avoided being around her husband when he was with Mötley Crüe.
