GMB’s Susanna Reid is vision in ‘beautiful’ high street blouse

Susanna Reid is one of the best-dressed stars on morning television and continually has us racing to the likes of Boden and Phase Eight to bag ourselves her latest outfit. Earlier this week, the Good Morning Britain star was spotted in a stunning cobalt blue blouse – a colour she has worn before, and gorgeously – from the latter high street store and we must admit, we are completely in love.

The blouse in question is the Samiha Textured Top from Phase Eight and costs £49. While it’s available in white and black, the bright, bold blue colour beloved by Susanna is absolutely stunning for the summer and has all sizes still in stock (eight to 18). 

With slightly puffed short sleeves, a high neck which has a gorgeous frilly finish and a ribbed-style texture with an alternating checked style, this top is a versatile number that can be worn for more fancy occasions, such as a meal out or party (with some wide leg silk trousers and a pair of killer heels) or dressed down with some jeans and a pair of sandals.

Made from 99% polyester and 1% elastane, the top has some give which ensures comfort throughout the day. Susanna isn’t the only one who is a fan of this particular top as reviews from shoppers rave about its ‘beautiful’ style.

One said: “This blouse is so soft and pretty. It was bought to wear under a jacket for a special occasion but I’m sure will get a lot of use as it was a perfect neckline and fit for me.”

Another remarked: “Beautiful top, could be dressed up or down.” A third loved the feminine sleeves and neckline, while another simply said: “Good material and fit.”

For some, however, the top was a bit too long as they didn’t realise its length due to the model in the promo pictures on Phase Eight wearing the shirt tucked in. 

However this wasn’t too much of an issue as the customer shared: “It was rather long, the model had tucked it into her trousers. I have shortened it to a couple of inches below my waistline, which is more flattering for me.”

Another stated the shirt came up ‘very small’, so it may be a good idea to size up if you want a roomy fit. If the puff sleeves are a bit of you but you’re not a fan of the texture or high neck, New Look has a lovely playful alternative that features a sweetheart neckline and polka dot pattern that is great for smart or casual events. For a puff sleeve that’s a tad more dramatic, Stradivarius’ Embroidered Blouse with Puff Sleeves, £29.99, is the same deep cobalt blue colour but its sleeves are slightly larger and it features a lovely contrasting white wavy ric-rac style embroidered pattern on the sleeves that matches the bodice’s flower-style opening at the bottom.
