Air fryer cookbook with recipes so ‘tasty’ they ‘converted Nigella Lawson’ now half price

Air fryers are the latest kitchen sensation and they’re a game-changer for home cooks everywhere. If you’ve been loving your Ninja fryer or something similar and want to spice up your culinary repertoire, an air fryer cookbook might be just what you need.

Great news for foodies – Poppy Cooks: The Actually Delicious Air Fryer Cookbook, which is riding high on the Amazon best seller list, has had its price slashed by 50%, down from £20 to a tempting £10 for the hardcover edition. Kindle enthusiasts can snag it for £9.38.

Even Waterstones can’t match this deal, still listing it at £20. Authored by TikTok sensation and professional chef Poppy O’Toole, the book offers 100 mouth-watering air fryer recipes, ranging from the crispiest roast potatoes to succulent chicken wings and even vegetarian delights like corn ribs.

The cookbook has even won over culinary queen Nigella Lawson, who praised it on her website: “I’d been looking forward to The Actually Delicious Air Fryer Cookbook. But I knew that Poppy Cooks would never steer us wrong on the deliciousness front, and so borrowed an air fryer from a friend as soon as I had the book in my hands, and got to work expectantly. I’m glad to say I am now a convert!”

Not only do air fryers offer a healthier way to cook, but they’re also more energy-efficient than traditional ovens, whipping up meals faster with much less oil. And if you’re on the hunt for an air fryer to go with your shiny new cookbook, there’s a variety of models to choose from, reports Bristol Live.

For those who fancy a bit of luxury, Ninja is offering their Foodi Max Dual Zone air fryer for a reduced price of £179.99, down from its original price of £249.99. You can also grab it from Amazon for £173.44 or Argos for £179.

The Foodi Max 9.5 litre has been hailed as one of the best air fryers on the market, boasting two separate baskets for varied cooking methods. Its large capacity can serve over eight people and offers six cooking features including air fry, max crisp, roast, bake, dehydrate and reheat. It’s scored a perfect five out of five from BBC Good Food, Trusted Reviews and Ideal Home.

The cookbook has earned a rating of 4.6 based on 1,987 ratings, with 72 per cent of them being five-star. One satisfied customer wrote: “This is a comprehensive book on air frying. I saw it on morning tv, where Poppy was demonstrating cookery, having just bought a new Ninja air fryer and not having the foggiest idea how to cook with it, I decided it would be good for me and it is just what I needed. It has lots of lovely pictures of tempting recipes to make in my air fryer. I’m very pleased with it.”

Another happy reader said: “One of the best cook books I have ever bought. “Normal food” clearly explained. Lovely illustrations. None of the usual cheffy concoctions just good everyday meals that you can really use. Having this book has helped me make use of my new air fryer. Thinking of trying the other books she has published.”

A reader shared their mixed feelings, saying: “I was expecting a bit more adventurous recipes. Lots of things in breadcrumbs. I will however persevere and try as many as I can and hopefully be amazed.”

Meanwhile, another commented: “If you are a beginner both in cooking and airfryer this is for you. If you are an established cook you can really work out for yourself what you need to do.”

Yet, another customer praised the book with: “My wife is very choosy about what cookbooks she uses, so had made very positive comments, and the resulting meals cooked in the Air frier are delicious.”

Alternatively, ‘How to Make Anything in an Air Fryer’ by Hayley Dean is also making waves with a stellar 4.5-star rating from 842 reviews. It’s currently on offer at a tempting £11, slashed from its original £22. And for those bored with their midday meals, ‘Bored Of Lunch’ promises to spice things up. Endorsed by BBC Good Food as the best in the business, it’s now going for a steal at half price on Amazon, for £10.
